Each year, the Samhain Spirit appears in a new place. But where will it show up this year? The message from the spirits speaks of a place where the stars are reflected on the earth. I know that the place - it's an old park with a lake. But its gates have been locked for many years. Do you see the depression between the panels? Find the parts of the key that will open the park. The magic of Halloween is very close. The message from the spirits started a chain of events that could ruin the townspeople's Halloween. This year the mysterious, long-abandoned Haunted Park is where the Halloween Spirit will take refuge. Pluck up the courage to enter the Haunted Park and awaken the Halloween Spirit. It's going to take a hero to solve the ancient mysteries of these two colliding worlds. According to ancient tradition, the Halloween Spirit appears in the City on All Hallow's Eve. It's the Horseman of Samhain, and he protects the people and helps to prevent an invasion of spirits from the world of the dead. If the Halloween Spirit's order are followed to the letter, the holiday ends with a merry masquerade full of gifts and wonders. But will it happen that way this year? Each year, the City chooses a new Steward to summon the Halloween Spirit. We need to find out their name and assemble the Steward's costume, and most importantly - to find the Samhain cat. There's no doubt that this is where the main events in the approach to Halloween will take place. Now we'll discover the name of the Halloween Steward. Search the area carefully - see if you can find something unusual, like a medallion for example. Oh, the medallion is open! There's a name lit up in fiery letters inside. "Valerie". Valerie? The spirits have made a strange choice, don't you think? Valerie's the Halloween Steward!? I won't deny that I'm surprised. But it's the spirits' choice, and that means it's final. Now the Steward has to awaken the Halloween Spirit. To do that, we'll have to dress Valerie in the attire of the Halloween Steward - a hat, cloak and mask. Find the Witch's Hat, it's around here somewhere. The Halloween Spirit has given his first order. "Bring the leading couple of the masquerade." Their carnival costumes are hidden somewhere here in the Haunted Park. The costumes bear the names of the townspeople who have the honour of becoming the King and Queen of the masked ball. Goal: Find the costume of the King of the ball. Huh, I thought the Halloween Steward's duties were totally boring. Turns out it's a lot of fun! All I wanted was to greet the Halloween Spirit in an original way. Who knew such a big horse would get scared by a cute, little kitty and that the rider's head would fall off so we'd end up with a stone statue! Anyway, look on the bright side - all the pumpkin lanterns that have appeared in the park look great! I'm determined to find all the parts of the leading couple's masquerade costume, and most importantly, to find out who the honoured couple is. I'm burning with curiosity. Cursed and conquered, Jack placed the slightly smouldering coal into an empty pumpkin and set off his difficult path. The spirits noticed him and made him a guard on the border between the worlds of the living and the dead. Jack's lantern became a charm to ward off the spirits of darkness. That's how Jack's story ends, and the story of the Pumpkin-Headed Rider, the Halloween Spirit, begins. Mirror Between Worlds Very soon, the carnival costumes made of anger and spite will begin to appear in homes around town. Then spirits will rush into the City and inhabit the peoples' bodies, just like they did with the Detective and Juliette. To save the City, I will reveal another secret of Halloween. In a dungeon deep, inside my castle, a giant mirror marks the thin veil between the worlds. My anger turned the mirror and now it points to the world of the dead. That is how the way between the worlds was opened. The mirror's magic allows the spirits to reach the world of the living and take people into the terrible world of the damned. It's all my fault! My silly prank opened a door to our world for Dracula and his bride which put the entire City in danger. So I should be the one to fix it. Jack said, "You'll need a power stronger than my anger to turn the mirror." I think I know what that is. For many generations, Halloween was a truly special event for people. They waited patiently and prepared for it. Townspeople made amazing things for the holiday, things full of human love and kindness. They are the true talismans of Halloween. As the Halloween Steward, I feel their strength, and that strength is just what Jack was talking about - something stronger than his anger. The love of the townspeople is what will help us turn the gigantic mirror between the worlds. I asked Martha for the Book of Halloween and read about "Jack's Invitation" in it. It's a very old and powerful artifact. It was an invitation to the very first Samhain ball, signed by the Halloween Spirit himself! The one who has this invitation will have secure protection from evil ghosts and will have luck in everything they do! We desperately need to get Jack's Invitation!
