want to know everything about my great ancestor. According to one of the legends, the Heavenly Archer Hou Yi fell in love with a maiden named Chang'e. She was a goddess exiled to Earth for her wrongdoings. And although she also loved Hou Yi, mortal life weighed heavily upon her. So the Heavenly Archer dreamed of making his beloved immortal again. But did he succeed? I've been asking myself the same question. Help me find out how the story ended. |

A treacherous student of Hou Yi tried to take the elixir of immortality
from Chang'e. So she drank it all herself to stop it from falling into
the traitor's hands. The elixir made Chang'e into a goddess and
teleported her to the Moon, where the only thing keeping her company was
the Moon Rabbit, who was mixing the drink of immortality in a mortal.
Chang'e realized too late that immortality was nothing compared to Hou
Yi's love. The search for the secret of immortality ended up tearing the lovers apart. |

后羿の不実な弟子が嫦娥の不死の妙薬を奪わんとしたのだな。それが故、嫦娥は全てを一人で飲み干した、裏切者の手に落ちぬように。その結果、妙薬は嫦娥を仙女にし月へと送ってしまった、連れ添う者は臼で不死の妙薬を混ぜる月の兎のみのその場所へ。嫦娥が気付いた時には遅すぎたのだ、不老不死は后羿の愛とは比べようもないと。 不老不死の秘密を探す旅は最終的に愛し合う二人を引き裂いてしまったのだな。 |
