| Oh, mein Freund, it's you! I was just looking for you. Did you know that I've been studying music's magical influence on wicked creatures? With Martha and Isabelle's help, I was able to create a magic gramophone whose music lulls werewolves to sleep. It might work on other evil beings, but as soon as I successfully performed the first field test, I was attacked by gargoyles! I managed to defend myself, but those vile creatures broke the gramophone and ripped it apart! Gargoyles steal artifacts just like magpies... Will you help me restore my invention? ああ、マイン･フロイント、ここにいたのか！ちょうど君を探していたんだ。知っていたかい？私は邪悪な化け物どもに対して音楽的な魔法が与える影響を研究していたんだ。マーサとイザベルの協力を得て、狼男をあやして眠らせる旋律を奏でる蓄音機を作ることが出来たのさ。ひょっとすると他の邪悪な存在にも効くかもしれないのだが、最初の実地テストに成功した矢先に、ガーゴイルの攻撃を受けてしまってね！どうにか自分を護ることには成功したのだが、あの卑劣な化け物どもは蓄音機を壊してバラバラにしてしまったのだ！ガーゴイルはカササギの様にアーティファクトを盗む習性があるからな…。私の発明品を取り返すのを手伝ってくれるかい？約束しよう、君に時間を割いてもらった分にはちゃんと報いるよ。 |
★このコレクションは2017年8月と9月のイベントでのギフトコレクションの焼き直し版ですが、会話は結構違います。そもそもガーゴイルに盗まれていません。 lull: 赤ちゃんなどをなだめてあやす、寝かしつける vile: 卑劣な ★magpie カササギ：鴉のように光物を貯め込む習性があると言われている。ちなみに発音はマグパイ make it worth one's while: 人の時間分の価値になるようにする=その分ちゃんと報酬を支払う、働きに報いる |

| Thank you for joining me, mein Freund. The gargoyles will regret messing with us! We must find and collect all the gramophone parts they stole. Let's start with the simplest part: the case. You can easily recognise it. It's a small box covered with red silk. Fight the gargoyle that stole it and bring it to me. |

| Oh, there it is! My gramophone case! I carved it myself out of a cherry tree, and dozens of magical runes are hidden under the silk. Thank you so much, mein Freund. haystack: 干し草 ※find a needle in a haystack 干し草の中から針を探す(=できない事をする)という諺がある 💬イヤなこと言うなー ★サファイヤ製のレコード針：レコードの針はずっとレコードの溝を細い一点でなぞり続けるため、実はレコード盤より先に摩耗しやすい。そのため、ダイヤモンドやルビー、サファイヤといった硬い(擦り減りにくい)石が使われている。天然石で最も摩耗しにくいのがダイヤ(モース硬度10)で次がルビーとサファイヤ(硬度9)である。 💬そういうコンダクターも機械は強いよね。 |

| Just now, a gargoyle rushed past me and, you won't believe it, but it was carrying the mechanism for the Huntress's gramophone in its claws! Did you know that I personally enchanted this mechanism? What a pity I wasn't able to catch the monster with a spell... Can you find that gargoyle and return the mechanism before it flies too far away? |

| Thanks to you, we have all the gramophone parts again. But this is no ordinary device that can simply be reassembled with ordinary tools. To make the gramophone work properly, I must perform a complex magic ritual. Could you do us one more favour? Bring me a couple of artifacts - without the City's magic, the Huntress's invention cannot be restored. |

to Joy オゥｄ･トゥ･ジョーイ 喜びの歌：ベートーヴェンの交響曲第九番の第4楽章で登場するコーラス部分の詩。ドイツ語の原題は 『An die Freude(アン･ディー･フロィデ)』 Freude, schöner Götterfunken フロィデ、シェーネㇽ ゲッテㇽフンケン~(喜びよ、神聖なる美しい輝きよ)♪ 日本語では晴れたる青空漂う雲よ♪で始まる。 💬ウィキペディアのUse of Beethoven's settingに音楽再生が付いているので聞いてみると、ハントレスの現在の気分に浸れるでしょう(笑)本当に喜びの歌って感じだからすごいよなぁ。管理人もとても好きです。 |
