| An Adept turned up in the City. This creature is an acolyte of a dark cult, a sect that worships the Shadow's evil warlock. It's astounding how these people willingly gave their souls to the darkness. We need to get rid of this monster right away or other cult followers will follow him. For this you need allies and weapons. Start by talking to the Conductor. |

超越者がシティに突如現れた。超越者というのは闇の教団のとある宗派に仕える者で、その宗派と言うのはシャドウの邪悪な魔法使いを崇拝しているのだ。闇に魂を自ら差し出すような輩(やから)がいるということには心底驚かされる話だ。この化け物じみた存在を直ちに排除せねばなるまい、そうでもしなければ他の宗派の信徒まで、その超越者に続いてシャドウに靡(なび)きかねないからな。この件に関しては、協力者と武器が必要になる。先ずはコンダクターと話して来たまえ。 |
★Adept の本来の意味は名人、達人くらいの意味で、何かを極めた人。ここでは人間を超えちゃった(捨てちゃった)人。シティの裏で暗躍するShadow and Minions
シャドウ一味の手下。 turn up: turn はひっくり返すという意味なので、ひょっこり現れるイメージ、しかも予想してなかった感じがある。 |
| The adept is a bad sign, indeed. Things were just getting better, too. I even gave up drinking! So, we must fight - I'll try to block all the exits from the station and be ready to evacuate the residents of the City, if I have to. |

| Thank you for your help - we can't underestimate the Conductor. Regardless of his problems with alcohol, he can lead the City inhabitants and provide them with shelter. As for the adept... He scours deserted streets in the outskirts as if looking for something. We need the Detective's help. Although it's hard for him to work with mystic creatures, he's a professional and can start investigating. |

| Eyes shining from a pale face, magical tattoos and a red mist hide its lower body. Adepts willingly gave up their souls to the Shadow and powers they received are deadly to any living creature. Its Human emotions lost in the past, an Adept's yeaning for those times makes it even more vicious. |

| Did you hear? Shadow Cult adepts have appeared in the City! Few people know of the Shadow, a powerful demon whose minions have given up their souls to serve the Darkness. The adepts are very dangerous - you can only defeat them with the Blade of Light. If you deliver the City from another adept, you may get an enchanted object as reward. |
