whilst: イギリス英語、アメリカ英語でのwhile carefully: carefulというのは強い注意を払う事。慎重にの意味になることが多いですが、ここでは「それ以上扉に注意を払うのをやめて調べなかった」という意味。「慎重に扉を調べなかった」だと真逆の意味になってしまうので注意。ハントレスはまだ扉を調べてはいないです。 |
