Have you heard about Bloody Mary? Every local trembles when they hear that name. Till yesterday I told myself it was just a tale but then I saw her with my own eyes! A girl in a white dress smeared with blood. She was walking towards me and suddenly the air turned ice-cold and the words "Mary is coming..." appeared in one of the windows. I bolted right away!	Detective 刑事	ブラッディ=マリーの話を聞いたことがあるか？ここいらの人間なら誰でもその名前を聞くと震えあがるんだ。俺も昨日まではそんなのはただの作り話だと自分に言い聞かせてたんだがな、なのに俺はこの目で彼女を見ちまったんだ！血で薄汚れた白いドレスを着た女の子をだよ。その子が俺の方に向かって歩き始めたら、突然周りの空気が凍るように冷たくなって、窓の一つに「マリーがすぐ行くよ…」って文字が浮き出したんだ。すぐさま逃げたさ！	smear：泥や血で薄汚れた、滲んで汚い bolt：稲妻のごとく駆けだす、逃げ出す creepy：虫が這うみたいにぞわわとする、気味が悪い 💬私もぞわっと来ました！ヒェー。

Who would ever summon Bloody Mary to our city, and why? She's a cold, ruthless killer! I must find out who's responsible, but first I need to track down and neutralize the killer before she causes any harm. Too bad this case is so old that many important clues have been lost - I have no idea where to even start! Have you ever heard about the places in the city where the fabric of time is stretched very thin? Some records in City Hall even mention a "Lens of Time" that can be used to gaze into the past. If those records are correct and this Lens really exists, then this is our chance to solve the case of Bloody Mary. Find the Lens of Time.	Detective 刑事	一体誰がブラッディ=マリーをシティに呼び寄せた？そしてなぜだ？彼女は冷酷で容赦のない殺人鬼だぞ！この事態を招いたのは誰なのか突き止めなけりゃならん。だが、まず最初に俺がしなくちゃならんのは、この殺人鬼の残した痕跡を追い、無力化することだ。彼女が誰かを手にかける前にな。非常にマズいことにこの事件は古すぎて重要な手がかりかなり失われちまってるんだ－どっから手を付けていいのかさえ見当も付かん！お前はこの街に時間の層が伸びて薄ーくなってる所があるって話を聞いたことあるか？市役所の記録簿の中に「時間のレンズ」とか言う、過去をはっきり見ることができる代物のことがチラホラ出てくるんだ。もしその記録が正しくて、このレンズが本当に存在するっていうなら、今こそこのブラッディ=マリーの事件を解決するチャンスだぜ。「時間のレンズ」を探すんだ。	ruthless：無慈悲で容赦がない track down～：～の痕跡を追う neutralize：敵を無力化する I have no idea～：さっぱり見当がつかない ★fabric of time：日本語では時間や空間をよく層に例えますが、英語では布に例えます。階層的なものに使います。日本語の「層」によく似ています。 gaze：じろじろ見る、じっくり見る
What an incredible device! And it has "M" initial on the back. Perhaps it's the first letter of the name of its creator. I'd like to know who invented this machine that lets you see the past.		なんつう信じがたい装置なんだ！そして裏側に何かの頭文字で「Ｍ」とあるな。もしかするとこれを作った奴の名前の一文字目かもしれないぞ。過去を見えるようにするこの機械を作った奴が誰かを知りたいもんだ。	initial：英語の場合最初の文字のという意味で名前とは限らない let you see the pastこのyouは普通なら人全般なんだが、過去が見えるのが主人公だけって設定なのが気になる…
I guess, the Bloody Mary must have something to do with many unsolved murders in the City. I selected notes about the most notorious of them. Your first case is a savage murder at the Station of Forgotten Dreams. See, after more than a century all pieces of evidence are long lost. If the Lens of Time really works, we will be able to look into the past, investigate the crime scene, and find some important evidence. It's a good chance to get on Bloody Mary's trail.	Detective 刑事	これは当てずっぽうなんだが、ブラッディ=マリーはシティでいくつもの未解決の殺人事件に何かしら関係してるはずだよな。だからその中でも一番悪名高い事件ををチョイスしてきたんだ。お前さんの初案件は忘れられた夢の駅で起きた凄惨な殺人事件てわけさ。もし「時間のレンズ」がきちんと稼働すれば、過去を覗き見て、犯罪現場を捜査して、更には何らかの重要な証拠を掴むことができるってこった。ブラッディ=マリーの足取りを辿れる絶好のチャンスだぜ。	guess：当て推量をする(根拠はないかあっても薄弱) have something to do with～：口語。確信はないけど何か～に関係してそうな感じがする notorious：悪い意味で有名な select：いくつかの中から一つ抜粋する。一つに絞る。日本語のチョイスに近い。日本語のセレクトと微妙に違う notes about the most notorious of themここでのnoteは巷に知られた事実くらいの意味 savage：残忍な 💬これが主人公の初担当事件なのか…。

[Look at the past!] Lens of Time - Explore Station of Forgotten Dreams in "Past" mode.	③	［過去を見ろ！］ 時間のレンズ－忘れられた夢の駅を「過去」モードで探索せよ。
The Fabric of time over the Station has become so thin that we have a rare chance to peek into the distant past of this location. Take a look at it through the Lens of Time and examine the past crime scene at the Station. Find the piece of evidence that was missed by detectives in the past.	Detective 刑事	駅を覆う時間の層が薄くなってる今がこの場所で遠い過去を覗ける稀なるチャンスだぜ。「時間のレンズ」越しに覗いてみて、駅で起きた過去の犯罪現場を調べてくれ。過去に捜査した奴らが見落とした証拠の欠片を見付けるんだぞ。	💬「時間のレンズ」の図面はChapel Basement❶にも出てきます。
This crime scene is giving me the shivers. Traces of blood everywhere and those words again, "Mary is coming for you". The evidence we found is a strand of hair on some parchment. I suspect it's the hair of Mary herself. Now we need Martha's help!		この犯罪現場には震えが来るぜ。あちこちに血の痕、そしてまたあのフレーズだ「マリーはもうすぐ迎えに行くよ」。見つけた証拠は羊皮紙っぽいものにのった髪の毛が一房か。マリー自身の髪の毛の線(せん)が濃いな。これはマーサの助けを借りる必要があるぜ！	come for：迎えに行く some parchment：羊皮紙っぽいもの、このsomeは数ではなくてなんかそれっぽいという意味 suspect：～じゃないかと薄々思う
[Wax Doll] Find a candle wax. - Explore the City in "Past" mode.	⑤	［蠟人形］ 蝋燭のロウを探せ。－「過去」モードでシティを探索せよ。
Yes, this is the hair of poor Bloody Mary. A special brand of voodoo brought her to the City and forced her to kill against her will. Only by dispelling this magic can we free the girl's spirit from its curse. If we create a voodoo doll to symbolise Mary and bury it at the cemetery, her spirit will finally be at peace.	Martha マーサ	そうね、これはブラッディ=マリーの髪の毛だわ。特殊なブードゥーの魔術でシティに連れて来られて、彼女の意志に反して無理やり人殺しをさせられていたのね。この魔術を解かないことには彼女の魂はこの呪いから逃れられないわ。マリーを象ったブードゥー人形を作ってそれを共同墓地に埋めれば、彼女の魂はようやく安寧の時を迎えられるでしょう。	force人to do：無理やり～させる cemetery：共同墓地 symbolise イギリス綴り=symbolize アメリカ綴り

We need something to make the doll out of. Some candle wax would do just fine. Preferably from a candle that burned in a building with a strong aura of kindness.	Martha マーサ	人形を作る材料になるものが必要よ。蝋燭のロウがちょうどいいわ。できることなら、慈愛に満ちたオーラで熾(おこ)した火で燃えた蝋燭から取れた物なら一番いいわね。	build a fire: 火を熾(おこ)す ここでのbuildingは多分建物ではなく火を熾す行為 💬マーサの喋り方は回りくどいし抽象的。
I feel the good magic emanating from this wax. Where did you find it?		このロウからはいい魔力が出ているのが分かるわ。どこでこんなもの見つけてきたの？	💬マーサ、自分であんなややこしい条件付けたロウを探せって言ったんじゃん…。言った本人も無理と思ってたっぽいなこれは。
[Eyes of Coal] Find some coal. - Explore the City in "Past" mode.	①	［炭で描いた目］ 炭を探せ。－「過去」モードでシティを探索せよ。
We need to draw some eyes on the doll. But a simple pencil won't do. You're going to have to find the charred bone of a swamp frog.	Martha マーサ	この人形に目を入れなくちゃね。でも、ただの鉛筆では役に立たないの。沼カエルを黒焦げに焼いた骨を見つけてこないとダメよ。	char：黒焦げにする 💬また、厄介なものを…。
Good. Now I'll take the coal and draw the eyes. In the meantime, concentrate on thinking of Mary.		よくできました。さてこの炭で目を入れましょう。書きあがるまでの間、マリーのことを考えるのに集中するのよ。	in the meantime：何かと何かの間 💬上からだなぁ。でもマーサすごい年上だしいいのか…。

Now for the most difficult part... In order to make the doll embody the girl herself, we need to find Mary's blood. The spirits told me that a lucky horseshoe can help find it, so we'll need to find the horseshoe.	Martha マーサ	さて、最難関の部分よ…。この人形をがあの娘自身を表したものだと具体的に分かるようにするためには、マリーの血が必要よ。スピリットたちによれば、幸運の蹄鉄がそれを見つける手助けをしてくれるそうよ。ということは、まずその蹄鉄が必要になるわね。	★ご存知と思いますが、horseshoe蹄鉄は幸運のお守り 💬今までも結構難関だったと思います…。
Take hold of the horseshoe and be sure to memorise which place come to mind first. That's where we'll find the blood.		その蹄鉄を手に取って、最初に心に浮かんだ場所をしっかり覚えておきなさい。そここそがマリーの血が見つかる場所よ。	that's where～：that's を頭に付けると強調になる。 memorise イギリス綴り=memorize アメリカ綴り

I knew the horseshoe would help you learn where to find Mary's blood. Hurry and bring it here. The poor ghost is suffering terribly.	Martha マーサ	私にはその蹄鉄がマリーの血の場所をあなたに教えてくれると分かってたわ。急いでそれを取って来て。可哀そうに幽霊はひどく苦しんでいるわ。	💬マーサはなんでもお見通し。 the poor ghost：マリーのこと
Just one drop of blood? I hope this will be enough.		たったの一滴だけ？これで足りるとは思うけれど。	💬そんなぁ。頑張ったよ？きっと。

We're almost done. While attach Mary's hair to the doll, find something to wrap around it. After all, who knows what might happen if you touch it with your bare hands.	Martha マーサ	ほぼ完成したわね。マリーの髪の毛をこの人形にくっつけている間に、人形をくるむ物を何か探して来てちょうだい。とどのつまり、これに素手で触った場合、ひょっとして何か起きても保障はできかねるってことよ。	who knows what might：ひょっとして何が起きるかは誰が知っているのか、いや誰も知らない、どうなっても知らないよって感じです。内容的に疑問でないので？がない。
Alright, let's wrap the doll in the cloth... Now we're ready to perform the ritual. What, did I really not tell you? At exactly midnight, you need to go to the cemetery, bury the doll and say the words, "Mary's unquiet soul, may you find eternal peace." Then the magic will be dispelled and Mary will be at peace forever.		上出来よ、さあ、人形を布でくるんでしまいましょうか…。さて、儀式の準備ができたわね。ん？言ってなかったかしら？きっかり真夜中にあなたたちは共同墓地に行って、その人形を埋めてくるのよ。そしてこう唱えるの「マリーの安らかならぬ魂よ、今ここに永遠(とわ)の安らぎを見出さんことを」。これで呪いは解かれて、マリーは永遠に安らかに眠れるわ。	💬真夜中に墓地？聞いてないよ！って気分になりました…。 マーサが唱えろと言った言葉は結構固い言い回しだったので、日本語も合わせてそれっぽくしてみました。
[Freedom Of Spirit] Free the spirit! - Assemble The Voodoo Doll Collection.	⑥	［魂の自由］ 魂を解放せよ！－ブードゥー人形コレクションを集めよう。
You found all the items that a voodoo sorcerer uses to summon the spirit of Bloody Mary. Now help me conduct the ritual that will free her spirit and save the City!	Detective 刑事	ブードゥーの呪術師がブラッディ=マリーの魂を召喚するのに使ったアイテムは全部見つけたな。さてと、手を貸してくれよ、彼女の魂を解放しシティを救う儀式を始めるぞ！	💬あれ？集めてたのはマリーのブードゥー人形の材料だったはずじゃ…？おんなじものが材料なのかな？ 💬刑事、カッコつけてるけど、夜中に墓で穴掘って埋めてるんだよね。

As soon as we dispelled the voodoo magic Bloody Mary smiled and vanished, leaving a few valuable items for you as a token of her gratitude.		おい、あれが見えたか！ブードゥーの呪いを解いたとたん、ブラッディ=マリーが微笑んで消えていった。残していってくれた貴重なアイテムはお前への感謝のしるしだな。	Would you look at that! びっくりしておい、あれ見ろ、みたいな感じ。疑問ではないので？がない。 💬刑事の取り分はいいんですかね。太っ腹。
