gleam: 鈍く光る I got attacked a couple of streets from here: 「a couple of streets from here ここから数本向こうの通りで」の時には前置詞を使わない。「a couple of streets away 数本通りを隔てた向こうで」とかも同様。後ろにfrom~とかawayの様な離れてとか向こうでというのが後ろにくっつくと前置詞がなくなる ★slide rule 計算尺：対数(log)や平方根(√)などの計算に使われたアナログ計算機。電卓の登場でほぼ使われなくなった。スライドルールというだけあって、スライド式のものが一般的。挿絵のタイプは見た事ないが… compatible: 両立できる 💬シティでは電気的な計器類が上手く働かないために、旧式の用具を使っているんですね |

building protected from gargoyles. It seems that, thanks to this
project, Martha and I started to get along better. I'm glad since I
don't like unfounded rivalry. We have enough enemies in the City as it
is... I hope the construction will be success. Maybe our spells will guard every house from the gargoyles in a couple of years from now! |
