| I found something interesting in the City, again. Have you noticed people with lanterns passing along the streets in the evening? Well, they look like people but I tried to ask one of them to show me the way. He jumped ten feet aside in one bound and ran away! I hurried after him, but he reached the main square and vanished into thin air. The next night it all happened again! Now he won't leave me! |

| Here he is - the mysterious Wanderer! See that figure with a red lantern moving to the City's centre? This red Wanderer is definitely not a ghost. He looks completely different... And he seems quite peaceful, although he doesn't let anyone get close to him! Maybe we should ask the Huntress about him? |

| Your prudence does you honor - you haven't tried to contact them from the start! But I know nothing that could gladden you. The red wanderers are neither monsters nor ghosts, so I just give them a wide berth without taking any interest. They've never attacked anyone, so there's no reason to quarrel. It's just another oddity of the City... Try asking Martha, it'll be right up her street. |

| There's only one way to get near a wanderer: with a Red Relic. If you take one to a wanderer, it will stop hiding and may even exchange it for something valuable. The Relics... it's so difficult to explain them to strangers. Let's say they're red crystals that hold City magic and nourish it. You don't need to know more for the moment. I have some Relics - I'll exchange one for a flask of werewolf blood. I need it for a ritual. |

★relic:
普通は遺跡とかから出てくる発掘品なんかを指すが、ここでは「relict 長い年月を生き延びた鉱物」のこと。relictとは、周りの鉱物が変化したのに変化せずに残った鉱物のことで、古代をしる手がかりになる石。地層学的には重要。 💬狼男の血液フラスコ一本分て多くないか？なんか吹っ掛けられてるような気がするけど、それだけ貴重だってことかな。 |

★Relicは長い年月を生き抜いた、歴史を知る上で重要なアイテムのこと。通常は古代遺跡の発掘品などを指すが、このRelicは「Relict 長い年月を生き延びた鉱物」を指している。Relictとは、周りの鉱物が変化したのに変化せずに残った鉱物のことで、古代を知る手がかりになる石。彷徨う者のミステリー感が漂う石である。 |

| These Servants carry out the will of the silent and mysterious City. Wanderers are its eyes, ears and keepers of its secrets. Mute at all times, they appear from the darkness and leave quickly. Only a relic may make them stay longer, for which they might exchange a rare artifact. |

| The Red Wanderers are mysterious creatures one couldn't call monsters. They are a reflection of the united mystical will of the City; its eyes, ears, and... weapons? Who knows... ? There are no reports of any Wanderers attacking City inhabitants, but a special power emanates from these creatures. Wanderers are willing to trade with citizens who bring them Red Relics, special reservoirs holding City magic. |

このunitedはきちんと方向性を持って統一された意志という意味。彷徨う者はいっぱいいるけど一つの意志の元に動いてるよっていうこと willing to trade: 差し出されたら二つ返事で交換するっていう感じ。微妙なニュアンスですが、こっちが差し出したら絶対断らないけど、向こうからこっちが持ってるかも分からないのにグイグイ来ることはないよという受け身な感じが willing です 💬なんか不思議な生き物？ですねぇ…。 |
