| We found out that Cardsharp escaped by hiding on Captain Drake's boat. Where are they now? How long has it been since the Captain left? We have yet to hear anything from him. Are they even alive? Maybe it's time to investigate an accident? Hmm, I think you're probably right... Let's open a missing persons' case. Unfortunately I'm out of practise with the City's normal police work - so much so that I think I need to visit Isabelle. Let her divine as to whether they're alive or dead. |

out of practise: 暫く鍛えてなくてなまってる※practiseはイギリス綴り、アメリカ綴りではpractice。 ★初期のシナリオはイギリス英語が主体だったので、NY出身のはずの刑事がなぜかイギリス英語だったりする。 so much so that~: so muchは前文の内容がとても程度がひどいからという意味、so that~だから～と続く 💬シティに普通の警察がいたんですね…。刑事しかいないのかと思ってました。 |

| It seems that Cardsharp put these cards in the bottle because he didn't have time to write a note. They can shed light on what happen to him. Let me tell you how to interpret them. The king of clubs is Cardsharp. The four, five and six of spades signify an unlucky path and loneliness. I think he's showing us his fate. The six, seven and ace of diamonds refer to guests from far away and a happy visit. It seems he's somewhere waiting for us. The way I'd interpret this message is that Cardsharp is on an uninhabited island and he awaits our help. This small island is probably at the edge of the mist that engulfs the City. |
