unwelcoming: 感じの悪い、歓迎されていない感満載の for some reason: どういう訳だか、何故だか。このsomeは複数の意味はなくsomethingのsomeと同じ「何かしらの」という意味。この意味の時は後ろは単数になる。 |

I was once an assistant to a great master, who discovered the secret to immortality. I desired eternal life and I stole one of the coins - a Medallion of Immortality with the image of a Diamond Spider. A cursed coin! I became obsessed! I was prepared to do anything to get the remaining coins. あの霊が言うには、ジュリエットが何かをチェーンにするりと通したのを見たんだと。それかもしれんぞ、ダイアモンド蜘蛛の描かれたコインのメダリオンってのだ。見ろ、残りのコインの入ったポーチってのがきっとこれなんだ。もし十三枚より少なかったら、ジュリエットの魂が危ない！ |
《could, shouldの用法、助動詞について》 助動詞はどれも「~なはずだ、かも」という不確定な意味を持つ。助動詞によって確信度合がちょっとずつ違う must>should>will>would>can>may>could>might it should work=きっと上手くいくはず(確信度は高め) it could work=上手くいくかも(自信はない) ただし、自分でコントロールできない天候とかだとwouldやshouldは使わないので注意 💬全部で13枚っていきなり出てきたな。前のセリフ以外にももっと色々情報があったっぽいですね。 |

Now that the spider has settle in her heart, it will fill her soul with the desire to possess all thirteen coins. The more time she spends in this room, the faster her death will approach! | ポーチを見付けたか、しかし中には十二枚しかコインがないぞ！あの霊の話では、ジュリエットがコインを持って行ったなら戻って来るはずだと！あの蜘蛛が彼女の心に巣食ってる、そうなると十三枚のコイン全部を手に入れたいっていう強い願望で頭がいっぱいになるんだとさ。この場所に長くいればいるほど、彼女の死がより速く近づいて来ちまうぞ！ | 💬ふーむ、会話から察するに、やっぱり隠し扉の向こうは部屋一つどころでなく、かなり広いみたいですね。最初に刑事が街みたいだと言ってただけあるわけだ。刑事と主人公のいる部屋にはジュリエットはおらず、扉の向こうの街のどこかをふらふらしていると。絵がないとこういう時ちょっとわかりにくいなぁ。 | |

| The spirit guardian said that the spider from the Medallion of Immortality, which Juliette picked up, has already settled in her heart. She's on a path to destruction. We need to find the special chest to put all the coin medallions into - only then will the spider feel their call and return to its treasure. |

※his entire lifeの前に前置詞throughが抜けているっぽい。searchの目的語は場所しか来ないのでちょっと変。 imagine that!: 考えてもみろよ→凄いぞ！驚きだ！スゴいことで驚いた時のフレーズ |

That spider from Juliette's heart has returned to its place. 《進行形の用法について》 be coming to life: 進行形にならない動詞や、意味的に進行形じゃないのに進行形になる時、次々と~するの様に、繰り返しを表す事がある。たいてい主語が複数形。 come to life: 命を持たないものが形をとって動き始める、具現化して現れる。 return to its place: あるべきところに帰る。placeは本来あるべきところという意味が原義。 💬どこに帰ったんだろう。なんかミストレスが浮かぶなぁ。 |
