| It's unpleasant to talk about, but the City has been overtaken by an epidemic of thievery. I already have a pile of statements reporting multiple disappearances. The thief is hunting for very specific items: some wacky old jewellery set that was abandoned after the Collector disappeared and quickly found its way into the jewellery boxes of ladies around the City. And now, having lost their jewellery, the ladies are causing a stir. | Detective 刑事 |
口にするのも不愉快なんだが、シティで盗みが横行してるんだ。俺の処には既にもうあっちこっちからの盗難届の陳情書で山が出来てるんだぜ。窃盗犯はかなり特徴的なアイテムばかりを狙っててな－けったいな古ーいジュエリーばかりを一揃い、コレクターが消えた後に打ち捨てられてた品で、その後すぐさまシティ中のレディたちの宝石箱に活路を見出されたって言うようなシロモノさ。それが今になってそのジュエリーが消え失せたもんだから、レディたちは上へ下への大騒ぎだ。 |

| All the victims describe the lost jewellery as massive, made of gold, and inlayed with rare lilac diamonds. The thief must want them for the gems. Valerie had such a bracelet, but it made me feel uncomfortable when she was wearing it. Let's start our search with the bracelet. |

被害に遭ったレディたちは口をそろえて失くなったジュエリーは、ごつくて、ゴールド製で、世にも珍しいライラック･ダイヤモンドが嵌められてたって供述してるのさ。窃盗犯はその宝石が欲しくてそれを狙ったに違いない。バレリーがそういうブレスレットを持ってたんだが、アレをあの娘がしてるのを見た時にゃあ、俺は嫌ーな感じがしたんだがなぁ。そのブレスレットから捜索を始めようぜ。 | |

| It’s hard to believe the carelessness of our ladies. Give the bracelet to me. Did you know that it's called the Bracelet of Obedience, and the precious lilac diamonds in it are witch's soul stones? Put together, such stones can return the spirit of the dead to the world of the living. It looks like our mysterious thief is trying to escape the spirit world. | The Mistress departed and left me with a task in the Manor's dungeons. I was wearing a brooch from that jewellery set... Suddenly, the dark ghost of a woman appeared, tore it off me and flew away. Will you look for the brooch? |

| It seems that the proximity of the lilac soul diamonds from Juliette's brooch attracted the ghost of a witch imprisoned in the dungeons of the Manor, and gave it strength. You say you found the brooch wrapped in python skin? It looks like we're dealing with the angry ghost of Marie Nuvok, a sorceress nicknamed "The Serpent Queen". I bet the Mistress once lured the witch into the Manor and killed her to take possession of her power. | Isabelle イザベル |
どうやらジュリエットのブローチに嵌っていた、霊魂入りのライラック･ダイヤモンドが近付いたせいで、この領地の地下迷宮に囚われていた魔女の幽霊を引き寄せて、力を与えてしまったんだわ。ブローチを見付けた時、パイソンの皮で包まれてたんですって？恐らく敵は怒れる亡霊マリー=ヌヴォクね、「大蛇の女王」とあだ名された女魔導士よ。賭けてもいいわ、ミストレスはかつてこの魔女を領地に招き入れて殺し、その力を奪ったのよ。 |
proximity: ぎりぎりまで近付く事
※形容詞proximate(ぎりぎり近くの)の名詞。approximateは概算のでいずれも近い事を表している ★python 錦蛇･パイソン：でかい蛇の代名詞。色んな種類がいるので大きさも幅があるが大きい種は5mをゆうに超える種もいる。革が綺麗なのでバッグや靴になる。 💬Marie Nuvokの元ネタはMarilyn Novakじゃないかなぁ？Bell, Book and Candleって魔女コメディ恋愛映画に出てたみたいだし。 |
