| Some townspeople have been struck by misfortune after they saw the image of an ominous woman in the mirror. I'm sure that the Queen of Spades from Cardsharp's deck is to blame because the woman's description matches the image on that card. Cardsharp's deck is unusual, the images can leave their cards and roam free. But the Queen of Spades brings trouble to those who see her, so we have to return her to the card. |

街の人間で何人か、鏡の中に不吉な女性の影を見た後で不運に見舞われるっていう人たちが出てるのよ。どうもカードシャープのデッキのスペードの女王のせいの様ね、女性の特徴があのカードに描かれた肖像と一致してるの。カードシャープのデッキは普通じゃないわ、中の人物像たちがカードを離れて自由に歩き回ったりできるのよ。でもスペードの女王は見る者にトラブルを齎すのよね、だから彼女を元のカードに戻さなくては。 |

return the Queen of Spades to the card, we should lure her in with
special jewelry bearing the symbol of spades. Martha says that cards
like to receive gifts, and that the Queen of Spades is no exception. Find her a ring, for example. Preferably bearing the symbol of spades. |

スペードの女王：同名の文学作品がロシアの作家プーシキンの代表作にある。カードの常勝法の秘密を巡ったミステリアスな話で、スペードのクイーンのカードが最後破滅を齎す。 カードの秘密はtroika(3), semyorka(7), tuz(Ace)、最後Aceを切ったはずがなぜかQueen of Spadesに。 💬微妙に原文のセリフが前と違うんだよな…。意味はほぼほぼ一緒なんだけどさ。語感が悪いとかなんだろうか。 |

💬ミストレスは働く気はないって事ですね…？ ※焼き直しに際してlure the Queen~→lure in the Queen とin が挿入されているが、lure は他動詞なのでinはなくても良い。このin は副詞でlure the Queen~ in の語順でも良いのだが、多分語感の問題。 |

カードシャープのスペシャルデッキには全く驚きだよ。知性を持ったカードとはな！だがスペードの女王の様なカードは常に監視せねばならん。あれは不運を運んでくるのだから。 スペードのバックルを探して、あの逃亡者を元のカードに戻そうではないか。 |
fugitive→escapeeに変更になっている。意味はどっちも逃亡者。fugitiveの方が犯罪を犯して公的権力から逃げている感が強い。スペードの女王の場合、見ると不幸になるとはいえ、本人が犯罪者な訳ではないためescapeeの方がしっくりくる。 |

the jewelry to attract the Queen of Spades, who has been tormenting the
townspeople. Now Martha just needs to perform the ritual and return the Queen to her card. Let's bring her some City artifacts to help her focus. |

スゴいじゃないか、相棒！この事件でお前を手伝ってやろうとしてたところだったんだが、もう既にスペードの女王を惹きつけるジュエリーを集めちまってるとはな、彼女のせいで街の人間はずっと苦しんでるんだぜ。 これでもうマーサが儀式を執り行うだけだ、そうすりゃ女王は元のカードに戻るさ。マーサにシティのアーティファクトを持ってって集中するのに手を貸してやろうぜ。 |
(下段) intertwines with the jewelry with the symbol of spades: 最初のwithがなかったのに焼き直し時に挿入されている。あってもなくても意味は同じだが、「スペードのマークの付いたジュエリー」なのか「ジュエリーとスペードのマークを混ぜ合わせる」なのか紛らわしいためwithを挿入したと思われる。 💬カードシャープのデッキの話だって言うのに、カードシャープが出てこなかった…。残念。 |

the ritual: the artifacts shine brightly, and their light intertwines
with the jewelry with the symbol of spades. The image of a woman is
visible in the mirror placed on the opposite side. It shines and...
turns into a card. This is the Queen of Spades! Martha has returned her to the deck. Now the townspeople are safe. |
マーサが儀式を始める、アーティファクトが明るく輝いて、光がスペードのマークの付いたジュエリーと絡み合っていくぞ。女性の像が反対側に置かれた鏡に映る。光ったと思ったら…カードに変わったぜ。 スペードの女王だ！マーサが彼女をデッキに戻したぞ。もうこれで街のみんなも安全だな。 |
