Recently, I received a parcel containing the manuscript of a new novel by Angela Crowley. Do you remember her? The events she describes often come true. This one, unfortunately, is no exception. Suddenly he realized he was shrouded in fog and couldn't see beyond his own nose. Then the fog retreated, erasing his memory and leaving behind only a playing card bearing his portrait. It turns out events similar to those depicted in the novel have already happened. The fog seems to "attack" its victims in broad daylight.		と言うのも、この小説に書かれているのと類似の事件が起こったのだよ。霧が白昼堂々と人を「襲撃」しているらしい。
When the fog clears, victims are found holding a playing card depicting their own portrait.		霧が晴れた時、被害者たちは気付けば自分そっくりの肖像画が描かれたトランプのカードを持っているのだそうだ。

Inspector Dipp received the manuscript of a new novel by Angela Crowley, with an alarming letter enclosed in the package. She explains in the letter that her new novel depicts a menacing fog that steals memories from local townspeople. Some events from the manuscript have already happened, and she is afraid the events she described will continue to come true. She sent Dipp the unfinished novel, hoping he could prevent more attacks. But is this all really happening? As described in Crowley's novel, the fog was hunting local townspeople. It suddenly envelops a person, and when it retreats, its victim completely loses their memory and is left holding a playing card bearing their own image. To begin with, Dipp decides to discover the nature of the cards. Perhaps this is the scheme of a witch or boggart. Goal: Where did the cards come from? It turns out the cards are completely ordinary and aren’t magical artifacts. After studying the cards, Adeline found the signature of the artist who painted them. To find out why the fog is hunting those who are depicted on them, we need to find this artist. Maybe he painted other works that threaten our townspeople? Goal: How do we find Meridoc Darkmood? Ghosts emerge before me in the artifacts' light. They say someone uses their connection with the fog to search, but it's impossible to see them because they are unreal and omnipresent at the same time.		アーティファクトの光の中、突如私の眼前に現れるは幽霊たち。彼ら曰く、幽霊たちと霧との繋がりを用いて何者かが探索をしているけれど、幽霊は実在しない存在でありながら、同時に偏在する存在であるがために、目で視ることは不可能であると。	omnipresent: 偏在する、各所に同時に存在する 💬theyが指すのは幽霊たち(ghosts)のはずだけど、内容的には霧(the fog)の方がしっくりくるんだよなぁ。だってシティの幽霊は視えてるし…。

In search of the reasons for this anomaly, we learned the story of an artist who lived even before the Distortion and unknowingly served the Shadow's insidious plans, which the villain started bringing to life only recently.
