So we chatted a little over a bottle of gin,,, and, believe it or not, it's now morning, but I still can't shake the cobwebs out! You won't believe this, it's so funny: I walked into City Hall and started seeing double, like everything was all twisted around. I really need an earring I lost there yesterday. What am I to do? |

| The other day I went to the Station to chat with the Conductor and while I was talking to him I suddenly realized just how lonely he is! It really gave me the chills! He's tied to his Station like a guard dog. I'd probably lose my mind if it was me, but the Conductor's tough; he can take it. So I've got an idea: maybe you could get him a walkie-talkie? Sure, it's a pretty primitive means of communication, but at least it's something. I tried to find one myself, but there are some creepy goings-on at the one place you might find something like that. It's as if someone read my mind and brought all my secret fears to life! |

この間、コンダクターとお喋りしに駅に行ってね、話している最中にふと、この人はなんて孤独なんだろうって思ったのよ！それを考えたとき背筋が寒くなったわ！彼は番犬よろしく駅に縛り付けられてるのよ。私がその立場だったら、とても正気でいられないわ。でもコンダクターはタフだから、この状況に耐えていられるのよ。それでいい考えが浮かんだの、もしトランシーバーを彼に持って行ってあげたら？確かに、通信手段としてはかなり原始的だけど、少なくともないよりいいでしょ。自分でそれをどうにか見つけようとしたんだけど、そういう物が見付かりそうな場所は、なんか気味の悪いことになっちゃってて。まるで誰かが私の心の中を読んで、秘密にしてる恐怖の体験を全部呼び覚ましたような感じなのよ！ |
